The Story Spinner is a show for children from 5 to 9 years (younger children have really enjoyed it too; we recommend 5 and up... but you know your child better than we do). It shows the story-catchers, Shred, Patch and Snippet, helping The Story Spinner to remember all the old tales so they can be written down and so not forgotten for ever. It is a beautiful show which is just as much fun to perform as it is to watch.

The Story Spinner himself is a life-size puppet who sits behind his colourful spinning wheel, desperately trying to stay awake. But unfortunately he's drifted off and some of the old tales have escaped. As the show starts the story-catchers realise what's happened and try in vain to get them back again. They then spend the next 55 minutes acting out 2 stories (Hansel & Gretel and Jack & the Beanstalk) for the Story Spinner with him narrating. It is a very colourful show with loads of wonderful music, lots of action and plenty of special effects, all of which make The Story Spinner not just a kids a show but a piece of theatre for the young…and some not so young…
