At The Long Overdue Theatre School we understand the importance of giving pupils the opportunity to experience performing under professional conditions with lights, sound and a full house! In fact our last musical sold out its run in a 200 seat auditorium. We also understand the need for our students to gain the skills and the confidence to perform in front of a crowd, whether they have the lead in the show or just a single line.

Since Katie took over the school in 2007 pupils have been given audition opportunities for West End Musicals and even feature films. All pupils have had the opportunity to have their headshots taken and put on a casting website.

Main show performance
Professional work Our students were all very proud to be asked to perform at the turning on of the Christmas lights, the Andover carnival and the warm up to the carnival performance performed at The Lights. In 2008 we were very honored to premiere Space: The Musical, a new musical written specifically for our students by the members of our sister company, The Long Overdue Theatre Company. Space: The Musical has been sold and is now being performed by many kids at various theatre schools across the country.

The End of Year Report...
In December 2009 our biannual X Factor competition featured a celebrity judge, BBC presenter Mike Bushell; March 2010 was our chance to give something back by raising over £500 for Cancer Research UK; Summer 2010 gave pupils an opportunity for a totally new experience performing an outdoor production of 'Into the Woods' which then toured around local fetes and carnivals.

This coming year promises to be even more exciting with new staff, new shows and even more fun! On the set of a professional drama
